An interesting design feature of the Pattern 13 and 14
was the bend angle of the bolt handle. This feature placed the handle in
relatively the same location as the SMLE's handle.

The rifles serial number. The W prefix indicates

The serial number will be stamped in at least three
places, the bolt handle, the receiver and the barrel. Note above the serial
number on the barrel, the MkI* conversion stamping.

The P14's rear folding aperture sight. This rifle has
had a simple target aperture installed into its battle sight "ghost
ring".
